NOTE FROM BRODY'S TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME:  "I just spent about an hour with Brodey in the house and this is the best house dog ever! He came in, snifed around, layed down and stayed there. I sat with him on the floor and he never moved. As long as I rubbed him, he would barely move. when I stopped, he would stretch and open his mouth like he want to talk but still didn't utter a sound. He would take his paw and reach for my hand but that was it. I got up and went to the refrigerator and got him a hot dog for a treat and had to call him to come to me to get it. When I called, he gently got up came up to me and waited for me to hand it to him. I have never, never seen a more polite, gentle spirited dog. He is wonderful and needs to be somebody's treasure. This is a dog that is special! He deserves the best."

My name is Brody and I need a forever home.  I was purchased by a young man when I was just a baby and life was good for several years.  We were best "buddies".  I don't know what happened to him but one day he took me outside and tied me to a tree without shelter, food, nor water ....and I never saw him again.
Some kind hearted people moved me where I could have shelter and fed and watered me.  Because I had been abandoned, the Greater Birmingham Humane Society came one day and took me with them.  They love me and give me kisses and I return in kind.
I am between 3-4 years old, housetrained, leash trained, get along with other dogs.

Volunteers feel I am much too interested in cats to be placed in a home where there are cats and that probablyI should not be placed with another male dog. I'm fine with girls!
