BUSTER

ADOPTED!

Hello my name is Buster: Around here I am called the Easter Buster because my new family got me on Easter morning.

Like many others I had traveled a long road to get where I am. Displaced by the hurricanes in 04 and left to wander the streets as a 6-8 week old pup.
I was found by a nice lady who sheltered me for close to a year before I was sent to an animal shelter. From the shelter the nice folks at this organization got a call about me and they came and took me from the noisy kennel and started my recovery process.
I had an issue with my eyes that required surgery, which the folks from Southern States Mastiff Rescue, with the help of your donations, had corrected and while they still run a lot I get medicine twice a day from my new parents.
My new home is wonderful! I have a big double stacked bed to sleep on. A large yard where I try and keep the pesky squirrels and birds away from and deer. Now the deer thing was quite amusing, I thought because of their color and size that is was another Mastiff to go play with. I found out when they ran off and I couldn't keep up that they were not Mastiff's at all.
No one knew how I would respond to the 4 cats that live in my house but they are fine and rarely bother me. I have tried to share my squeeze toy with them but they haven't come around yet. I will continue to work with them and perhaps soon they will.
If you are reading this let me take a moment to tell you that rescuing is a wonderful thing to do.

We are healthy and our temperaments have been checked out. All I needed was a stable loving home and I have found one!

Here are a few pictures of me on my bed and my mom. She just loves me and I love to get dried off from her after my baths.

These folks give me baths twice a week. I don't mind because they give me treats afterwards. Thanks Southern States Mastiff Rescue for saving me and thank you all for looking at rescuing my friend!

Meet BUSTER!  He is a young boy with a "willing-to-please attitude.

Buster is one of the sharpest Mastiffs to cross my path in a long time.  When he came into Rescue he had little or no apparent "training".

He has picked up an amazing grasp of "commands" in the short time he has been here.

As one can see from his photo, he has a great head and when matured will be even more striking.

He has a short coat and doesn't shed any more than one would expect.  He wants to be where you are, loves to ride and can enter and exit your vehicle without assistance.

If you have been thinking of ADOPTING, don't miss out on Buster.

He's a rare one! Below are more details about Buster.
