Hello Steve, (SSMR Foster Volunteer)
Morpheus got to meet his new vet today. I brought him in
just to get acquainted & for them to check for ticks or any
other litter critters. He did very well. He does have a
yeast infection in both ears, but my husky mix gets them
every couple of years, so we know how to get rid of them. We
even have the ear wash on hand. She said he was handsome and
very well behaved.
After the vet's office, we stopped by th  e
post office and Morpheus and Shawna sat in the car (doors
locked and a/c running) while I ran in to drop a letter in
the mailbox. When I was walking out, I heard a very loud
bark. Morpheus had jumped from the back of the Xterra to the
back seat and was standing in front of Shawna growling at a
man that he thought got too close to the car! (I think the
poor man nearly had a heart attack.) I love the fact that he
wanted to protect her, even though there really was no
threat!
He has been sleeping in the bed with Bruce and me. He cracks
us up because he sleeps on his back with all four legs up in
the air. The snoring is hysterical! Bruce officially has
competition. They were taking turns snoring; while one was
breathing in, the other was breathing out. I'm going to tape
it and blackmail my husband with it. Who knows, maybe I'll
get some housework out of him after all!
Anyway, we absolutely adore him. He is a little angel and
very polite. Thanks again for everything!
