Dakota is wonderful. 

He loves to play outside in the sprinker or with the water hose, go to the barn where my son takes riding lessons so he can play with his girlfriend Zoe (a doberman).  

Sometimes he INSISTS on going for a car ride by laying down by the SUV and refusing to move - a trip around the block will usually do the trick.  

He still has issues with hard surface floors but we have added carpet runners to all areas so he is never isolated to a room, he gets braver daily though - at first he didn't even want to use the runners and now he goes where he wants too.
