Dakota has been adopted by a wonderful SSMR Volunteer who was a former SSMR adopter as well. Dakota is flourishing in her expert care, and is a beloved member of their family now. Updated photos will be published soon of Dakota's physical transformation!.

This sweet 2.5 year old fawn Mastiff girl is great with children, dogs and cats- and still she was dumped at a shelter.

As you can see by her photos, she currently has a skin condition that she is currently being treated for.

She gets a medicated bath every week and takes antibiotics 2 times a day. No worries though, she is not contagious and with time should make a full recovery.

She is a very loving girl that some lucky family will be very fortunate to add to their families!

Dakota turns 3 on Christmas Eve and weighs in at 120 lbs. She is up to date on her vaccinations, HW negative, spayed and microchipped.

Dakota is currently living with 2 other dogs (a female Mastiff and a male St. Bernard), 2 cats (that she seems mildly interested in) and 2 loud kids.
 

She does not seem to have a mean bone in her body, but she can get a bit pushy when it is time for attention or treats. She tries to push her way to the front of the pack. With correction, however, she settles down like everyone else.
