Being treated for heartworms
Meet Delta....a gorgeous young adult brindle Mastiff who is badly in need of a second chance at life.

The photos of her above are touching- she is so beautiful, trusting, loving and as with most Mastiffs- ever tolerant of all she has been through.

Though she surely has been given no reason to trust people in her lifetime thus far, Delta has been happy to meet everyone she has encountered since her rescue- and bestows her trust upon each person she meets. She obviously craves the love and affection she has been thus far denied and is curious and unafraid.

Delta appears to have been kept in an outdoor pen for most of her life, kept half starved, had no muscle tone at all initially, and was apparently  bred constantly.  This absolutely gorgeous brindle Mastiff knows no training commands yet, and although very friendly and sweet, she has no idea what it is to take cues from a human at this point. Delta  is raw material, but there is a lot there to work with for some very lucky family.

Are you the right person to teach this lovely Mastiff to appreciate the finer things in life?

She was probably NEVER given proper care and due to not receiving heartworm preventative medication she tested heartworm positive- for which she is being treated- and had a very common but minor eye condition in Mastiffs- and was quite literally emaciated (the pictures above were taken a full  two weeks after being taken in and fed well by Animal Control).

Good food, loving and consistent training, and lots of patience could make this gorgeous Mastiff into the once-in-a-lifetime companion that this breed is so well known for.

If you have the time and love in your heart to make me a family member for ever please fill out an adoption application at adoption application mentioning me by name and state.
