Isn't Duchess beautiful when she smiles? She is SO happy to be loved and treated well for the first time in her life and she glows with gratitude!)

Note: Duchess is now in training to become certified as a Therapy Dog! She has such a wonderful temperament and is everything good about the Mastiff breed! Anyone adopting her will be very fortunate indeed.

Duchess' history: Duchess has lived in an outside filthy pen her whole life and was used only as a breeding machine.  A group of kind people who run a small hooved animal rescue recently contacted us to see if we could help this wonderful Mastiff girl. They estimate her age to be 4-5 years- basically a gorgeous adult.

This poor girl was never allowed inside a house and was often neglected.

She has HAPPILY adjusted to being an inside dog and is now housetrained.  She is just a loving, giant couch lump- SO grateful for being allowed to live a comfortable life for the first time ever.

She loves napping on the couch and taking long walks with her humans.  She loves her new toys and can often be found sleeping with one in her mouth.  If you are looking for a snuggle partner or a movie watching buddy, she is your girl!

She is very eager to please and a mild scolding is all she needs if she even thinks about being naughty.

Duchess wants to dominate small (toy) dogs.  She is good with cats and all other dogs except the little one who constantly bark at her.

She has been observed to be good with children.  Grandkids ages 1-4 visit often and she loves them.

Different dogs  come into the home from time to time and this seems to bother her so she really needs a stable environment where the pack stays the same without new dogs continually coming into the home. If you feel that you would be the right home for Duchess, please submit an adoption application below.
