Emma is a very sweet young brindle Mastiff girl who has had a
rough life. She was dumped in a shelter in North Carolina
when her family could no longer handle her. The family did not
bother to give her any sort of training, so she is very rough
around the edges.
She LOVES to be with people, and gets along with all ages.
We feel that Emma would do best in a family where someone can
be home with her the majority of the day. She is very active
and energetic, so older children would be a better match. She
does pull excessively on her leash and because of a high prey
drive she will chase any other animal she sees.
She definitely needs a strong owner to show her how to be a
good girl.
Because of her high prey drive and her former experiences, she
needs to be the ONLY pet in the family.
She gets very jealous of other dogs. She was placed in a
foster home with a very docile submissive male, and she
continually growled and pursued him.
Emma is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped,
and ready to begin her new life. If you feel you might be the
right family to help Emma learn how to be a well behaved family
dog
please submit your adoption application and mention Emma
specifically by name and by state.
Emma is crate trained, and should be crated when left home
alone. |
