Ladybird is a very sweet 5 - 6 year old
fawn Mastiff girl who weighs about 150 lbs. She came into rescue after
her owners dumped her at a local shelter. She is up to date on her
vaccinations, spayed, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. She is
looking for a home where she can spend the rest of her years in
comfort. As you can see by the pictures, she used to snoozing on the
couch.
Ladybird gets along with other dogs with proper introductions, but would
prefer to be the top female or only female in the house. She does guard
her food bowl with other females, so she will need to be fed
separately. Ladybird does fine with small dogs, but cannot live with
cats. Due to her age, we recommend a home with older children (10 years
or above) who can respect the fact that she is an older girl.
Ladybird does have some arthritis in her hips, but it doesn't limit her
movement. She is a bit slow to get up on cold mornings. As she ages,
she may need to be placed on medication to help with pain in the colder
months.
