 adoption application            volunteer form

Minnie is a very sweet 3 - 4 year old fawn Mastiff girl who was picked up as a stray in Virginia Beach.  The shelter staff couldn't believe that no one came forward to claim her.  She is a small girl weighing about 120 lbs.  She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go to her new home.  She did test positive for Lymes disease, so she is on an antibiotic at this time.  Once she has completed her medication there is no further testing or medication needed.

Minnie appears to love children and seems to do well with dogs of all sizes.  She is interested in cats, but telling her no is enough to prevent barking or chasing.

She is a very playful girl, and would love to have another dog in the home romp and chase with.  She does like to play with toys, her favorites seem to be stuffed animals and chew bones.  She is a very intelligent girl who is very eager to please her owners.

She had no name when she came into rescue, but learned her name in 1 day.  She does know some basic commands (sit, down, off, stay).  We have learned that she does not respect baby gates, so a crate would be necessary to if her new family wanted to confine her to a certain area of the house while they are out.

Minnie is currently being fostered in Emporia Va with 3 other Mastiffs and 3 cats.  She is doing very well but would love to have a family of her own.  If you think you are the right match for Minnie, please submit an
adoption application   and mention me by name and by state.
