Introducing Penny!
Penny is a lovely and dignified, mature Mastiff girl, guessed to be around six or so years old.
She was found wandering in a rural area by a lady who thinks she was probably abandoned or 'dumped' by someone. Penny has very nice manners in the house, is friendly to people, is perfectly housebroken & so far has gotten along fine with the other dogs in her foster home.
Since Penny just came into our program, after her foster mom has had more time to evaluate her we will update her listing accordingly. If you are interested in having a well-settled, lovely English Mastiff girl, Penny might be just the Mastiff for your family. UPDATE BELOW:
Penny is a wonderful 6 to 7 yr. girl who is just wonderful. She came to us from Pensacola-what a trip for her, Pensacola to Tallahassee to Jacksonville finally to Deltona. She did very well on the trip and came into our home with grace and patience. Both our dogs welcomed her with some hesitation but she soon won them over. So, she is good with other dogs, has never tried to chase a cat while we walk, sits patiently while I talk to the neighbors, and seems to love the children we meet as well. What a good girl!!! ;-)
She is crate trained and she is remembering how to walk on a lead. Her basic commands need refreshing and we are working on that. With a lot of love and an extra scoop of food (she is a little thin) she would be a wonderful addition to any home!
