Rosie has been
with us for a little while and is now doing splendidly.
Apparently when
Rosie first came to us she had some abdominal issues-
she was not using the food she was eating very well.
She was given appropriate medications and finally is
looking like a real mastiff, rather than a starving
refugee.
She is not
on any medication now and is doing so well. When
she came to live with me, she had no idea what a treat
or cookie was – now she knows exactly what they are AND
my friend, Carol has introduced Rosie to peanut butter
filled kongs.
Rosie has been
abused and neglected in the past, so she needs to know
exactly what is expected of her; What you want her
routine to be, etc. If she knows that, she will be a
happy camper. Rosie would do well as an only dog –
although she might do fine with a well behaved larger
male dog.
She cannot be
with little dogs or other small animals, as she is a
little too focused on them and has some prey drive
issues with them. She does pretty well on a leash, but
could use some additional leash and obedience training.
Rosie is a gentle soul.
Once Rosie
knows how your home operates and what is expected of
her, she will do well. She does very well with women,
respectful children 10+ years of age and with a little
more time, men. There is a world of difference in
Rosie’s appearance and demeanor from when she first came
into rescue.
Rosie deserves a loving home and family – are you that
family?
