Note From Rufus'
Foster Mom: Rufus is a wonderful house dog. He
loves to go for walks and run in the yard. He
will be the perfect companion for someone who
has quality time to spend with him, enjoys
walking and wants a dog that will quickly bond
to them and respond to attention. His obedience
work is progressing nicely.
He
is only available to homes where
he will be the only animal in
the family.

Rufus
is a fun loving, 2 1/2
year old male who
absolutely adores women.
He is moderately active
and loves to play, but
is also very content to
try to fit into your lap
and hang out. He loves
to go for long walks and
play with his collection
of toys.
Once you get to know him
and he gets to know you,
he will tug at your
heart forever.
Rufus
was an abuse neglect
case. He is initially
weary of men, but does
warm up to them quickly.
Rufus runs, can jump,
and likes to play fetch.
He does have an awkward
gait from his abuse. He
was beaten with a shovel
and suffered some
neurological damage to
his sciatic nerve before
animal control seized
him and placed him into
rescue.
This will not progress,
but does give him a bit
of a funny movement when
walking and running. He
is a young dog and has a
lot of love to give.
Rufus is good
with children and we
will consider placing
him in a home with
children 7 and up.( He
has a little too much
energy for tiny
children).
Rufus needs to be placed
in a home as the only
pet. Please do not apply
if you have other
animals. While he can be
walked around other
dogs, he wants all of
the attention for
himself and does have an
issue with other animals
receiving attention
around him. We have not
tested him with cats at
this time.

your companionship and
care, and will provide
you with undying love
and loyalty in return,
Rufus is the dog for
you.
