UPDATE FROM FOSTER HOME:

"Callista and Vada are a pair of 8 year olds -  Callista being apricot and Vada being brindle.  Callista is the more dominant of the two and always has to be first, although she is not  nasty toward Vada.  Callista is also the more verbal of the girls.

They are both on the small side with Callista being about 106# and Vada being 115#.  Both are in good health, although Callista has some arthritis, but that does not slow her down.  They have been with other dogs and do fine, although Callista is a little too pushy with smaller dogs.  They are both housebroken and know basic commands and do well on a leash.

Callista does not appear to put on much weight, but that is for the best with her arthritis issue.  They are both active  outside, but typical mastiffs inside.  They are both spayed and UTD on their inoculations.   All they want is a forever home since they were abandoned by their owner who had to see to a sick daughter and could not take them with him."

Vada is an approx 8 yo brindle girl with beautiful tiger stripes who was dumped at the shelter with her "sister" Calista. Obviously these girls have never been given the care they deserve though Vada was in better shape than Calista initially both are doing great and eating well now that they are safe.

It's unthinkable to us that people can be so cruel and heartless to any living creature as to callously dump EIGHT year old Mastiffs at a shelter.  Looking into these girl's eyes and their postures in these shelter photos we can only imagine what they have suffered up until this point. Their eyes are worried, questioning, but gentle and kind in spite of what people have done to them.

We hope that their lives can finally have a happy ending by reaching the warm hearts and loving homes of some compassionate Mastiff lovers who will add them to their family and treasure them as they deserve to be.

Vada is already spayed , utd on vax like her sister Vada, and is in dire need of a foster home. Can you help us to help them?

If you are interested in adopting me please submit an adoption application mentioning me by name and by state.

Calista & Vada are in dire need of a foster home or homes. We would love to keep them together if possible- as they are all each other has in the world. Could you make room in your heart and home to foster one or both of these beautiful Mastiff seniors while a forever home can be found?
