Ziggy’s
vet’s office calls him Mr. Handsome. He’s
an apricot brindle and everyone who meets
him comments on how good-looking he is
Ziggy
had a rough start in life, but his winning
personality overcame his early life, and
he’s turning into a terrific mastiff boy.
Now he needs a forever home where he gets
love and lots of good food.
Ziggy,
his sister, and an adult male mastiff were
left in an empty house. When animal control
found them apparently weeks later, all three
were severely malnourished. They went to the
Titusville shelter where Ziggy lived for
three weeks before he was fostered. When he
was fostered, the vet found he was
malnourished, had pneumonia and an eye
infection, was treated and everything is A-OK
now.
He is
now used to walking on a leash. He responds
to the command “up,” and is learning the
command “come.” They are working on house
training and most days now there are no
accidents. It took him a few weeks to become
confident enough to be curious about his
surroundings. He is cautious with strangers,
but once he knows people is quite trusting.
If you talk to him he wags his tail, and he
cocks his head.
Ziggy’s
foster mom says he’s very sweet and likes
snuggling.
